My husband and I worked with Michelle for several weeks during the early stages of our homebuying process. Our initial consultation went well—Michelle seemed knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping us get started. However, our overall experience quickly became disappointing and ultimately led us to switch brokers. There were frequent delays in communication, and Michelle struggled to provide the kind of proactive guidance we needed. For example, she requested a completed gift letter before issuing a pre-approval, but we couldn’t realistically ask our gifters for a specific amount without knowing the estimated closing costs. She also didn’t provide us with a fee worksheet until much later—something we received right away from the broker we ended up closing with. It began to feel like she either didn’t want to work with us or had lost interest, which was discouraging. Buying a home is already stressful, and this lack of support made it worse. We gave Michelle a fair chance, but it became clear that she wasn’t as responsive or client-focused as we needed. Switching brokers was the best decision we made. Our new broker immediately presented us with different scenarios—breaking down fees and rates for applying jointly versus individually, FHA vs. conventional, etc. I received a pre-approval the same week I submitted my documents, found a home, and was conditionally approved just 15 days later. The conditions were simple—an updated pay stub, appraisal (which came in $15K above asking), and a brief address explanation. We even closed early at a competitive 6.25% rate during a highly competitive market. Buying a home is a major milestone, and it’s crucial to have a team that communicates, follows through, and truly advocates for you. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Michelle.

My family and I are so grateful for Michel the amount of time and work she put into talking to us, guiding us in order for us to be approved for the loan was amazing. She have so much patience. Michelle is customer motivated not profit motivated. Our house took major damage with Ian. Back in 2018 my mother hired a lawyer to have my name put on the title. When I went to apply for a disaster loan I was told that the loan was denied because I was not an owner. Michelle to the rescue. She could have said “I can get you this loan at this rate”. But after hearing my story her first words were let me see if I can help you. She did some digging and found the title that was filed in 2018 but due to an error on part of the lawyer was never processed. She gave me information on how to proceed to reopen my case with the other loan application and the steps I should take to get the error with the title rectified. Michelle cares for the welfare of the people she talks to and puts their best interest ahead of profit.

I got 15 mins mortgage consultation from Michelle. It was swift and informative. She provided all the necessary pricing info about my mortgage situation.
